Members of Horry Electric Cooperative have the opportunity to participate in an innovative program that provides funding for all kinds of worthy projects here in Horry County. It’s administered by the Horry Electric Trust, a board of community leaders from Horry County who serve on a voluntary basis.
How Do You Participate?
Bills are rounded to the next highest dollar each month. The extra cents collected from each member goes into the Operation Round Up fund. The average member will contribute about six dollars a year. If all members participate, we will Round Up approximately $140,000 annually.
Operation Round Up funds stay right here in Horry County. Guidelines for awarding this money address needs such as food, shelter, clothing and health care. Political campaigns and issues will not be considered for Round Up funding.
All new cooperative members are automatically included in Operation Round Up when they sign up for service. If you opt not to participate, or if you choose to discontinue your contributions at any time, simply contact us.
