Members of Horry Electric Cooperative have the opportunity to participate in a beneficial program that provides funding for assistance to other Horry Electric Cooperative Members. HEC members, who are in need, apply for assistance with basic essentials such as food, clothing and medicine. This program is administered by the Horry Electric Trust, a board of community leaders from Horry County who serve on a voluntary basis.
Electric bills of participating members are rounded to the next highest dollar each month.
Operation Round Up funds stay right here in your community and help other members of Horry Electric. There is an application process to determine eligibility for assistance. Guidelines are in place to ensure funds are allotted on a fair and necessary basis. Applicants are limited to the number of times they can apply and are eligible to receive assistance from the Operation Round Up fund. Every penny you donate to Operation Round Up is used to help fellow Horry Electric members. Only Horry Electric Cooperative individual members can apply.
